melaniaMelania Trump set the Republican National Convention on fire with her speech in Cleveland last night. It didn’t stop there, however. Her speech managed to set the internet ablaze once it was discovered that her speech contained quite a bit of plagiarism. Yes, and I’m not sure if Melania Trump knows who she is anymore.

When Donald Trump became the presumptive nominee of the Republican party for the presidency. You had to know that the Republican National Convention in Cleveland was going to be a joke – after all, it’s Donald Trump.

His entire presidential campaign thus far has been a never-ending episode of Saturday Night Live from day one. So, quite naturally, the convention going from zero to absolutely fucking ridiculous in one day, was to be expected.

If the rolling dumpster fire that’s the Donald Trump presidential campaign – with very little funding and political infrastructure – is an indication of how he’ll run the country. Well, just wait ’til Melania Trump starts stealing people from Africa to pick cotton when not adding extra rooms to the White House.

Does this mean that Melania Trump is Black?

At this point, I don’t even know if Melanoma… oops, I mean Melania Trump, is even a white woman anymore. After listening to how Melania Trump plagiarized Michelle Obama’s speech at the 2008 Democratic Convention. For all I know, Melania Trump is a black woman who grew up poor, on the South Side of Chicago. While she may speak with a very distinct eastern European accent. One has to wonder if she can a mean potato salad and twerk too?
So let me get this straight: Black people weren’t good enough for Donald Trump to rent apartments to in New York City. However, we Negroes give speeches good enough to be stolen by Melania Trump?

MelaniaTrumpSpeech
“You know I didn’t write this, right?”

Below is the questionable segment of Melania Trump’s speech:

“From a young age, my parents impressed on me, the values that you work hard for what you want in life. That your word is your bond; that you do what you say and keep your promise. That you treat people with respect. They taught and showed me values and morals in their daily life. That is a lesson that I continue to pass along to our son and we need to pass those lessons to the many generations that follow. Because want our children in this nation to know that the only limit to your achievements is the strength to your dreams and your willingness to work for them.”

And, here’s the segment from Michelle Obama’s speech:

“From a young age, my parents impressed on me, the values that you work hard for what you want in life. That your word is your bond; that you do what you say and keep your promise. That you treat people with respect. They taught and showed me values and morals in their daily life. That is a lesson that I continue to pass along to our son and we need to pass those lessons to the many generations that follow. Because want our children in this nation to know that the only limit to your achievements is the strength to your dreams and your willingness to work for them.”

As you can see, there is a slight variance between the pieces of texts. If you watch the video below, you can see that the biggest difference id that Michelle Obama’s version had more passion, soul, and believability. Melania Trump’s version, on the other hand? Yeah, well, not so much.

Watch video below:

Donald Trump’s campaign is just ass!

In response, Trump’s campaign manager, Paul Manafort, said that Melania Trump’s speech did not plagiarize Michelle Obama’s speech. Paul Manafort’s response to the plagiarism fiasco, in my view, was the equivalent of someone stomping out a flaming bag of poop. Yes, it’s not helping.

“There’s no cribbing of Michelle Obama’s speech,” Manafort said on CNN. “I mean, these were common words and values… I mean, she was speaking in front of 35 million people last night, she knew that. To think that she would be cribbing Michelle Obama’s words is crazy.”

Rather than apologize, Manafort went on to blame Hillary Clinton.

“This is, once again, an example of what happens when a woman threatens Hillary Clinton,” he said. “She seeks to demean her and take her down. It’s not going to work.”

A simple apology from Manafort could have worked here. Instead, however, he chose to be politically expedient by blaming Clinton. Which is totally absurd, unless you’re off the belief that Clinton wrote Melania Trump’s speech. The problem with that, however, is that Melania Trump admitted to writing the speech herself in an interview, prior to delivering it.
But, don’t tell these fools.

Sorry, it’s all on the campaign.

The great irony of Melania Trump’s plagiarism is that he lifted portions of a speech which spoke to her integrity. Not only that, the portion also spoke to her developed appreciation for hard work. I say it’s ironic because being able to copy and paste is the easiest thing in the world?

This isn’t the first time the Trump campaign has been hit with claims of plagiarism. Earlier this year, The Daily Caller pointed to an op-ed written by Donald Trump that was stolen from Dr. Be Carson. Yep, a Trump ripping off the work of yet another black person. I guess he figures since we won’t vote for him, he’ll just take whatever he wants from us. Hell, at this rate, don’t be surprised if Donald Trump starts saying that he’s from Kenya, and has the birth certificate to prove it. I mean, he is polling at seven percent among black voters.

I doubt whether the Trump campaign will ever come clean and offer an apology. There’s no skin off my back if his campaign doesn’t. Because I’m sure right now there are Republican voters who’ve decided not to vote for Trump because they think Melania Trump is a black woman. And, of course, that bodes well for Hillary Clinton. So, I’ll live with that – keep laughing as the train-wreck rolls on.

Update: Since Melania Trump’s RNC speech controversy, a longtime Trump employee and ghostwriter named Meredith McIver, has stepped forward to accept blame for Melania’s plagiarism.
