A Note of Gratitude to Pastor Dion J. Watkins…….

By Michelle R. McFarland

Hartford is a place where good things happen. Often.

Seven years ago Dion J. Watkins adopted our city and used his unique gift to teach the gospel and transformed an entire city in the process.

The community gladly embraced a leader who finally followed through on making a positive impact in the community.

Pastor Watkins’ bold leadership made the difference and inspired all generations to come to church.

Living up to GOD’s standards takes both obedience and time.
Pastor Watkins tirelessly encouraged the church each week to attend bible study and Sunday school.

I learned attending Sunday service is a start but the other classes are equally important. Spiritual growth is not acquired. It takes years of studying and development to grow in the word of GOD.

Pastor Watkins’ taught MOCM to trust the process. Craziness and confusion does not have anything to do with GOD.

I appreciate Pastor’s teaching style how he balancing all of teaching tools and confirming the lessons with the bible.

But everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way
1Corinthians 14:40 NIV

Pastor Watkins is an anointed teacher, leader and a human with flaws just like the rest of us. It is a sad occasion to see him leave Hartford, but understand and respect GOD’s choice completely.
Psalm 118: 9

It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man.
Won’t He Do It? Yes, HE will. Again, Again and Again.

All blessings come from GOD.
Best Wishes Pastor and First Lady Watkins on your new journey.
